外媒称因工作量过大 英国皇室御厨集体辞职

Britain's Queen Elizabeth II has been hit by awalkout of at least 14 cooks and kitchen staff overtheir workload.

近日，英国女王伊丽莎白二世由于至少14位厨师及厨工因工作量问题集体离职，而遭受打击。

Chefs, porters and others are unhappy at having towork at several royal residences for no extra cash.

厨师、勤杂工及其他职员因不得不在多个皇室居所工作，却得不到加班费而感到不满。

A royal source revealed that the place is in turmoiland the mood is getting steadily worse.

据一位皇室知情人士透露，厨房目前一片混乱，气氛也变得越来越差。

"Because the Queen now lives at Windsor Castle most of the time, chefs often have to go there, then back to Buckingham Palace for functions," according to the source.

Prince Charles uses the staff to throw events. Chefs are also asked to help out at KensingtonPalace for William, Kate and Harry, plus dinners at St James's Palace.

"People work all hours for no extra pay. Nobody gets any time off or sees their families. It's toomuch," the source said.

At least seven chefs have quit, plus other members of staff. Some are very experienced andwon't be easy to replace.

However, a Buckingham Palace spokeswoman denied the mass walkout. She said there's beenno change to the turnover of royal kitchen staff.
