对于现在高三的考生来说,SAT到了冲刺的阶段,更多注重技巧。而对于现在是高一高二的学生来说,我们备考SAT的时间还很长,我们需要合理规划、稳扎稳打。
新SAT对阅读的要求主要表现在两个方面:速度快,面宽。速度要多快?我个人觉得差不多每分钟150字左右。这个速度其实要求是比较高了。我发现很多老师对于学生阅读速度的要求太高,有些甚至要求一分钟能扫几十行。这样的阅读获取的信息量太少,很多时候需要重看,实际效率也不高。我这里说的阅读速度是指在阅读与SAT阅读文章难度相当的文章时,保持大约七成理解程度的速度。

其次,关于阅读面的问题,新SAT考察范围几乎覆盖一切文本类型和话题:小说文学、科普说明文、政论和时政评论新文章等。相对于偏人文的老SAT考试,新SAT考试更强调内容的均衡性,对于小说(fiction)的考察力度稍有下降,而对非小说的考察增加了。
新SAT考试阅读一定包括:
1. 一篇美国或世界文学的经典或当代文学作品篇章
2. 一篇或一对从美国建国文献或重大全球对话相关的篇章
3. 一篇关于经济学、心理学、社会学或其他学科的文章节选
4. 两篇(或一篇加一对)检验地球科学、生物学、化学或物理学发展的基本概念的文章”

如果你真的只能读一本小说,就读这个吧。所有美国高中生都必读的一本小说。里面语言表达和逻辑对理解SAT阅读很有帮助。
必读报纸刊物
纽约时报(The NY TIMES)今日美国 (USA Today)新科学家 (New Scientist)时代周刊 (TIME)
为什么要读?因为很多时候题目直接从这些里面出了。当然别指望考试正好考到读过的文章,通过阅读这些东西可以提升自己的阅读能力。“抓主干”和“抓逻辑”还是王道。
