PTE口语：Describe Image备考攻略

　　在PTE口语考试中有个叫做Describe Image的部分。这一部分拥有不小的分值，也具有一定难度。今天就和课窝一起来看一下这一部分的备考攻略吧。

　　Describe Image中分数据图和非数据图两种，首先看数据图。

　　数据图

　　数据图分两种：有时间因素和没有时间因素

　　（一）有时间因素的数据图，第一句话 [TITLE]：

　　This graph shows the [Title] in [地点] from [时间1] to [时间2].

　　This is a[bar graph / line chart / pie chart / table],which gives information about[Title]in[地点]from[时间1]to[时间2] /in[时间].

　　第二句话 & 第三句话先描述图中的信息，讲趋势

　　According to the graph, we can see thatthere was an increase/a decrease in [数据形式] from [多少1] in [什么时候1] to [多少2] in [什么时候2].

　　Which is followed by 数据变化

　　Tip1:数字只讲整数不要讲小数点 (e.g. around, about)，也只讲看得到的数字 (e.g. more than 100)

　　Tip2 :重点是学会归纳信息：e.g. 75%, 83%, 91% → more than three-quarters; Japan, China, Korea → Asian countries

　　第四句话是Conclusion

　　In conclusion, the overall trend tended to: increase / decrease / remain stable / fluctuate / be different / be similar.

　　第五句话，有的话，就说Implication. 没有的话，不说也没关系。

　　So we can safely conclude that… / So we can say that… / So it implies that

　　有关降雨量 (precipitation): there might be a drought / flood.

　　有关食物产量 (food production): there might be a shortage of food, even starvation / an abundance of food.

　　有关经济／钱: the economy is getting better / worse; XX is getting richer / poorer

　　有关人口和年龄: there might be an ageing population.

　　（二）没有时间因素的数据图：

　　第一句话 [TITLE]：

　　This graph shows the [Title] in [地点] from [时间1] to [时间2].

　　This is a[bar graph / line chart / pie chart / table],which gives information about[Title]in[地点]from[时间1]to[时间2] /in[时间].

　　第二句话 & 第三句话先描述图中的信息，内容非常开放式，很难有一个make sense的句式

　　单个饼状图或柱状图

　　According to the graph, we can see that Ais the largest component, which takes upm,which is closely followed byBatn.By contrast,Ctakes up aroundpandD, q,whileE, F & Gare the smallest, each taking up less thanr.

　　多个

　　According to the graph, we can see thatfor X, Ais the largest component, which takes upm.By contrast,Bis the smallest, taking upn.

　　For Y,Ais the largest component, which takes upm.By contrast,Bis the smallest, taking upn.

　　第四句话是Conclusion

　　In conclusion, there are similarities and differences.

　　第五句话，有的话，就说Implication. 没有的话，不说也没关系。

　　So we can safely conclude that… / So we can say that… / So it implies that

　　非数据图

　　非数据图分：示意图、流程图 & 地图（但是在考试中出现的地图普遍都伴随着数据）

　　（一）示意图：

　　This figure shows[Title].

　　The device is made up of[number]components.（先描述机器长什么样、有几个组成部件）

　　They arewalkway, pivot, notches on post for climbing, lever, rope and bucket. （全是名词）

　　When in use,the operator moves up and down, so the lever will rise and fall, then the water will be collected in the bucket. （然后再解释如何使用此机器、加入动词）

　　（二）流程图：

　　This figure shows the process of[Title].

　　There are[number]steps in this process.

　　Firstly,

　　Next,

　　After that,

　　Lastly,

　　And so the cycle starts again.

　　（三）地图题：

　　重点是要有顺序—如果没有数据，可按照顺时针、逆时针，从外到内、从内到外。如果有数据，最好按照数据。

　　[TITLE]

　　This bar graph / line graph / pie chart / table / diagram shows…(n.)…from (when) to (when).

　　This is a map of…

　　The following diagram provides information about…

　　Vocab: actual and predicted (n.)

　　[TREND]

　　GRAPH

　　(According to the graph,) We can see that…

　　It is obvious that…

　　Apparently / Obviously…

　　It is an increasing trend / a decreasing trend. [line or bar graph]

　　There are similarities and differences. [two pie charts OR two bars]

　　Majority of the (n.) (v.)… [one pie chart]

　　X is larger than Y.

　　X is increasing / decreasing faster / more quickly than Y.

　　Vocab: climbed to / rose to / soared to / dropped to / fell to / dramatically / steadily / slowly / quickly

　　DIAGRAM

　　The structure comprises / consists of / is made up of…

　　MAP

　　It is surrounded by…

　　On the LRTB (left right top bottom) / NSEW (north south east west)

　　In the middle is…
