　　The effect was stronger with certain breeds, particularly pointers and retrievers. The seniorauthor, Tove Fall, an epidemiologist at Uppsala University, suggested that this may reflectdifferent kinds of owners: picture the owner of a Labrador retriever, and then one who has aPomeranian.
