1. 形容词修饰名词（adj+n）

2）Gun carriers create a potential threat to the whole society. 这样说有些过于绝对，我们可以通过修饰限制gun carriers 的范围。

3. 定语从句后置修饰名词（n+定语从句）

1）Money can be used for clean-up operation. 这样写显得“用钱给污染清洁”的理由不够充分，我们可以尝试通过定语从句修饰“clean-up operation"，点明污染清理的好处。

2）It is necesssary to put restrictions on those advertisements. 我们可以通过修饰“广告”来使“广告”具体化。

4. 现在分词或者过去分词修饰名词（n+现在分词/过去分词）

1）Violence and crimes shown on TV or movies are reflections of social evils in real life.

2）Ecosystem failure causes various crises including an African food crisis.

Ecosystem failureresulting from deforestation, overexploitation and pollutioncauses various crises including an African food crisis. 通过现在分词对“生态崩溃”的修饰，使读者对该现象的成因一目了然。
