练习：SATt阅读长难句分析（一）

　　SAT考试是美国的语文考试，历史话题和文章只是承载了要考察的逻辑能力、语篇解读能力的一种载体。这和纯粹考察历史知识、历史事实的AP和SAT2是有本质差别的。

　　阅读长难句总结

　　第1句：这里的第一句话就解释了什么是 water fluoridation： the process of releasing small amounts of fluoride into the public water supply as a way to reduce dental health problems （在公共用水中添加少量的fluoride用以减少牙齿健康问题）

　　So 一个常识问题： 什么微量元素可以提高我们的牙齿健康呢？ 牙膏广告中经常说添加了什么使得我们的牙齿更加坚固呢？还记得那个：我们的目标是—-没有蛀牙

　　当当当： 含氟牙膏能使得牙齿更坚固，所以 fluoride 这个单词= ’氟’ 微量元素。

　　第2句：其实如果对于写作框架很了解的同学，应该一眼看出第2句相对不是那么重要，因为第3句出现了：nevertheless 转折关系词。而且这句话的主旨完全不难理解：氟对于牙齿的益处

　　2个标准：

　　1. 如果是比标准剂量稍微多一点点（moderately above ）这个moderately 用的非常地道，写作学起来！！！！会导致一种 ‘fluorosis’ 氟中毒现象

　　2. 如果是非常高的剂量，可以发生acute fluoride 中毒

　　这边我们梳理一下几个长得很像的单词：

　　fluoride n 氟化物

　　fluorosis n 氟中毒

　　fluoridation n 加氟作用，氟化反应

　　可以看出这3个单词其实词根都是一样的，无非词的后缀发生了一些变化，所以学会辨认出同根词对于文章理解是一个很重要的能力
