The competition between sellers would motivate them to improve the quality of their products and services, which conforms to the interests of consumers.

However, online shopping may expose consumers to risks. The first concern is the possibility of buying fake goods, as the transaction is done in the virtual space. Also, the loopholes on the web may lead to disclosure of personal information or even theft of identity. Another problem is irrational consumption.
