　　1.prompt

　　– v. 提示；促使；激起；导致

　　E.g. Then there is immigration, which has prompted a furious populist backlash in the United States and all over Europe.

　　2. have a hand in

　　– 参与，有份

　　to influence or be involved in sth.

　　E.g. Luck has had a hand in these feats.

　　这些功绩的得来也有好运的份。

　　可用于表达因果逻辑：

　　A has a hand in B, A因B果；

　　或“参与”participate in：

　　A has a hand in B, A参与到B这件事中。

　　3.be tantamount to

　　– 无异于；等于；效果与…一样坏

　　having the samebadeffect as sth else

　　E.g. Democrats in America assail most proposals to restrain the rising costs of public pensions or health care as tantamount to throwing grannies off a cliff.

　　美国民主党人攻击阻止公共养老金或医疗服务的成本上升的提案，认为这些提案无异于把老奶奶们扔下悬崖（置于死地）。

　　注意：该词组用于负面影响的语境

　　以下两个单词可以一起记忆：

　　tantamount无异于，词源：Anglo-French tant amunter “to amount to as much”

　　paramount至为重要的，词源：Anglo-French paramont, from Old French par “by” + amont “above”

　　4.by the same token

　　– 由于同样的原因 for the same reasons

　　E.g. By the same token, it is quite possible to maintain popular support for mass immigration, even from culturally dissimilar places.
