AEAS词汇：storey表示楼层的相关用法

　　AEAS词汇的储备会涉及到很多难区分的词汇，如形态相近但意思不同，或是意思相近但形态不同的词汇，在考试时很容易给考生造成困扰，在备考过程中一定要区分记忆。

　　storey表示楼层的相关用法

　　1. 表示房子的“层”，在美国英语中被拼为 story（注意两者词尾的不同变化）。如：

　　The building has ten storeys [stories]. 这建筑物有10层。

　　She lives in a five-storied [five-storeyed] building. 她住在一幢5层的楼房里。

　　2. 表示“在第几层或第几楼”，可用介词in（侧重空间）或on（侧重层面）。如：

　　He’s living in the second storey. 他住在二楼。

　　My room is on the second story. 我的房间在二楼。

　　3. “一座6层的房子”，以下说法均可：

　　正：a six-story house /a six-storey house

　　正：a six-storied house /a six-storeyed house

　　正：a house of six stories /a house of six storeys

　　正：a house six stories high /a house six stroeys high

　　(1) ① storey( 美国人常用story) 指楼房的一层，即一层的高度或空间。

　　The building has three storeys/ is three stories high.

　　这幢楼有三层/ 三层高。

　　There was a fireinthe top storeyof the building.

　　这幢楼的顶层曾一度失火。

　　He livesinone of the upper storeysof the building.

　　他住在此楼顶部的其中一层。

　　② the upper storey 还可幽默地表示“脑袋，头脑”。

　　He' s a bit weak/ a little wrong in the upper storey.

　　他不很聪明。/ 他神经有问题。

　　(2) floor 指“房间的地板”，作“楼层”解时，指“建筑物内同一层上的房间”。

　　The library has four floors.

　　那个图书馆有四层。

　　Onwhich floordo you live?

　　你住在几楼？

　　The whole third floor is furious.

　　整个三楼的全体住户怒不可遏。

　　(3) 注意英式英语和美式英语在楼层表达上的差别：

　　the ground storey/ floor 底层、一楼( 英)

　　the first storey/ floor 二层( 英)；一层( 美)

　　the second storey/ floor 三层( 英)；二层( 美)
