　　错误1 一个句子中有多个动词

　　这个句子中出现了两个动词, receive和can become.注意一个句子中应该有且只有一个谓语动词。

　　改正：应该添加一个从句结构或者是分词结构。

　　Students who receive job training can become competitive in the labour market;Students receiving job training can become competitive in the labour market.

　　错误2 There be 句型谓语问题

　　错例：There is a number of students who will audition for parts in the student play.

　　这里There be结构中谓语要根据主语的不同做相应的改变。这句的主语是students,所以谓语动词要用are.

　　改正：There are a number of students who will audition for parts in the student play.

　　错误3 主谓不一致

　　有时在SWT中大家要会写一些比较复杂的句式，例如插入成分或同谓语成分。在写作的过程当中，要注意保持主谓一致。

　　错例：Dowries, originated as gifts from brides’ parents, was common in the past.

　　这就话中主语为dowries,谓语应该为were复数形式。

　　改正：Dowries, ordinated as gifts from brides’ parents, were common in the past .

　　错误4 丢失冠词

　　错例：Volunteering offers you chance to demonstrate your ability and apply what you have learned in school.

　　这里chance前面漏了一个冠词a。如果没有冠词，表示某个几个，需要用名词复数形式。

　　改正：Volunteering offers you a chance to demonstrate your ability and apply what you have learned in school.

　　错误5 用词不准确

　　错例：It is critical to understand the functioning of local governments to deliver better public services to communities.

　　改正：It is critical to understand how local governments are functioning to deliver better public services to communities.

　　It is critical to understand the functions of local governments to deliver better public services to communities.

　　这个例子中functioning是动词ing形式，虽然可以看做名词形式，但是用法不准确。functions才是正确的名词形式。

　　错误二：who has been brought into NSW schools to reduce crime rates and educated students这里应该是一个并列结构，所以educate应该与reduce是一致的，所以应该改成to reduce crime rates and educate students (to reduce crime and to educate student).
