AEAS阅读技巧：易混淆词汇汇总（二）

　　AEAS词汇的在考试中的重要性不言而喻，任何一种语言，基础的词汇是必备的第一步。当然对于中小学生来说，词汇还是过于枯燥，所以提高起来往往很难。今天课窝考试网继续分享在AEAS考试中那些易混淆的词汇吧，分类归纳能事半功倍哦。

　　1. illicit / elicit

　　illicit. vt. 违法的，不正当的

　　Dante clearly condemns illicit love.

　　但丁明确地谴责不正当的恋情。

　　elicit. vt. 引起

　　Mr. Norris said he was hopeful that his request would elicit a positive response.

　　诺里斯先生说他希望他的要求会引起积极的回应

　　2. imply / infer

　　imply. vt. 暗示

　　“Are you implying that I have something to do with those attacks?” she asked coldly.

　　“你在暗指我和那些袭击有关吗？”她冷冷地问道。

　　infer. vt. 推断

　　I inferred from what she said that you have not been well.

　　我从她的话里推断出你身体一直不大好。

　　3. it’s / its

　　这个最多年龄小的学生分不清，在写作的时候

　　it’s 是 it is 的缩写

　　It’s a sunny day today.

　　今天是晴朗的一天。

　　its 表示它的

　　He held the knife by its blade.

　　他握住了刀刃。

　　4. loose / lose

　　loose adj. 松的

　　Two wooden beams had come loose from the ceiling.

　　天花板上的两根木梁松动了。

　　lose vt. 失败

　　No one likes to lose.

　　没人愿意失败。

　　5. latter / ladder

　　latter adj. 後者，后来的

　　He tracked down his cousin and uncle. The latter was sick.

　　他追踪找到了他的堂兄和叔叔。后者病了。

　　ladder n. 梯子

　　He climbed the ladder to the next deck.

　　他登上梯子爬到了上一层甲板。

　　6. lightening / lightning

　　lightening n. 闪电

　　I am not afraid of lightening.

　　我不害怕闪电

　　lighting n. 照明

　　The whole room is bathed in soft lighting.

　　整个房间笼罩在柔和的照明中
