《广州记》

《广州记》是岭南六朝时期(420—589年)的重要古籍，作者裴渊，晋代人，生卒不详。《广州记》辑存资料19条，记述岭南(包括现广西郁林与湖南怀化等地)地区的山、水、石、木、禽、兽、果、菜等。其中也有对中国渔民在南海捕鱼和采珊瑚作了记录。

Records in Guangzhou was an important ancient book in the six dynasties (420-589) in Lingnan Area. It was authored by Pei Yuan of the Jin Dynasty whose dates of birth and death are not recorded. The Records in Guangzhou collected 19 pieces of information, recording the mountains, waters, rocks, woods, birds, wild beasts, fruits and vegetables in the Lingnan Area (including Yulin, Guangxi and Huaihua, Hunan) as well as the information on the fishing and coral harvesting work of the Chinese fishers in South China Sea.

Shuijingzhu is a 40-volume, ancient Chinese geographical guidebook that was based off the outline of a much older book, Shuijing. Li Daoyuan wrote this very distinctive travelogue during the Northern and Southern Dynasties. His artfully written book records in detail more than a thousand rivers of various sizes as well as cultural and historical notes about local relics, personal anecdotes, legends, folklore etc. This book is the most comprehensive and systematic geographical masterpiece ever written about ancient China waterways.
